Watched River Cottage Spring on AFC yesterday. It touched upon a topic close to all of us - chickens! Me - don't quite like them, except for ayam kampung. My children - cannot live without them! I'm sure that is the situation with most households. I was informed that (Dr. Mercola touched upon this topic a couple of times before with almost the same conclusions) industrially-reared chickens have very much less omega-3 and so much more fat as compared to ayam kampung. Ayam kampung on the other hand has 25% less fat and 80% more omega-3, therefore so much more nutritious! How about that - meant intentionally for those who do not take ayam kampung!!
So, does anyone have any spare land to rear chickens? If you do, go get some to rear yourself - just don't get into trouble with the local authority! Me - am considering it soon, when I'll be home full-time. Got no small children to take care of, a bunch of chickens would do nicely! Only thing is, got to make sure that they don't have access to my porch - don't quite like chicken poo!

Tahun depan kalau I mengidam nak ayam kampong pure, I pergi mintak kat you. Nanti I pulak bela kat tanah I kat kampong tu. Zafhri dulu bercita-cita nak buat perusahaan ayam kampong, tapi habis semua orang berkokok tak bagi!!! Kalau tak sonang den dapaek supply ayam kampong!

tulah dah lama gak pak aji ni dok sebut nak buat reban, tak buat-buat. seronok bela ayam mcm kat sg. tua dulu, tangkat pakai lasso, mcm koboi pulak! bela ayam kampung bagus tau, hg mahal, makan pun sodap! zafhri kena fikir semula tu! i pegi kursus hr tu, katanya mara byk peluang utk usahawan ,kalau muda lagi elok.
Zafhri sekarang gila nak berniaga makanan. Masa puasa hari tu dia berniaga roti John kat bazaar Ramadhan Semenyih, laku ... Ni dia ngan kawan2 dia stop sekejap lepas accident 2 minggu lepas. Hancur honda civic I
i dengar siapa ntah citer pasal roti john tu. kan dah usahawan tu, pasni ayam kampung pulak! nasib baik keta je, tuannya tak apa-apa?
I don't think dia boleh buat ayam tu. Roti John and the rest tu I confident, just a matter of cari modal dengan jual kecil-kecilan dulu, kemudian cari restoran, then baru boleh digelar usahawan. Harap-harap dia berjaya nanti...
